After 2.5 years of not setting foot in a gym or engaging in any sort of physical activity whatsoever, I've joined a gym and set out to gain 10 lbs of lean mass by the end of July.
The goal is a lofty one. I've made several attempts at lifting, dieting, etc. all with less than desirable results. Basically, I'd work out 3-4 times a week, eat lots of food, take calorie and protein shakes for about 3 or 4 months and then quit after realizing I'd lost 4-5 lbs.
With the help of friends, and possibly a weekly trainer, I'm hoping to be able to tone up and shape up in the next 3-4 months. The blog idea (thanks RKM, JBM and CRD) is to provide some "accountability" so that I stay motivated to keep working hard. Enjoy the postings... I'm sure they'll be hilaaaarious. Please leave encouraging comments and any advice you have to share from your own experiences.
